About Eva Davenport Petersen:

Eva studied jewellery at The Learning Connexion from 2021  to 2024 and completed a six-month jewellery-focused course at a Højskole in Denmark. She has exhibited her jewellery at  Meanwhile Gallery in Wellington and at Højskole in Denmark.

"I started jewellery when I was 16, almost by accident — a family friend invited me to try a beginner class, and I fell in love with it straight away.
Before jewellery, I was into printmaking and cyanotypes — I’ve always been drawn to texture and detail. Now I use wax carving to explore those same ideas, turning the shapes and
patterns I see in nature into wearable pieces. I often take close-up photos of plants and leaves and carve those textures into rings or pendants. It’s incredibly satisfying work."

"I’ve had such amazing tutors who supported and encouraged me, and that’s exactly what I want to pass on. I love watching people surprise themselves by what they can make — it’s
rewarding to help someone go from 'I’m not creative' to 'I made this!'”
