Joyce Heal Memorial Exhibition
19 June to 9 July, 2025
Joyce Heal was an active part of Karori Arts & Crafts for over 25 years. She served on the committee for several years, including as the Vice-President. More recently, you could find Joyce every Thursday painting with the Thursday Afternoon Painters, where she was the Group Leader. Joyce exhibited her paintings in KACC exhibitions and with Watercolour New Zealand.
Joyce started at KACC in a Friday art class with tutor Barry Keates. Once Barry retired, Joyce took classes with Helen Wilson and ultimately developed her individual style of painting. In her paintings, there is a preponderance of landscapes and seascapes, painted in shades of blue and green, with golden highlights that beautifully capture the dynamic light and moods of our natural world.
Please join us for the opening of an art exhibition honouring the creative legacy of Joyce Heal, 19 June from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Sales from her exhibited painting will be donated to KACC.2025 Matariki Open Day
