  • Our facilities

We meet in the Newman Building, named in honour of Dorothy and Stanley Newman, whose generous bequest enabled us to create a dedicated creative space for our community. The rooms are comfortable, warm in winter, and fully accessible with a wheelchair ramp and lift to the upper floors.

Our kitchen is fully equipped with a continuous hot water Zip, microwave, fridge, and oven. Tea, coffee, and milk are provided for all visitors, and many groups enjoy a roster for morning or afternoon tea during their sessions.

Our studios are well-resourced for a wide range of creative practices. Painters have access to easels, water jars, spare palettes, and dryers. Printmakers and bookmakers can use two printing presses and a book press. Fibre artists, quilters, and sewists will find ironing boards, irons, cutting mats, cutting tables, rulers, looms, tapestry frames, and spinning wheels. A projector and laptop are available to book for use on the premises.

There is an extensive library upstairs in Room 4 from which members can borrow books for a month at a time.
