Breathe new life into your unworn clothing! Explore the exciting world of refashioning! Whether you're a beginner or have some sewing experience, this class will equip you with the essential skills to transform your wardrobe ethically and creatively. Together, we will minimize waste that typically ends up in landfills while extending the lifecycle of your garments.

The knowledge you gain in this class will empower you to bring your own design visions to life. Additionally, you will develop a solid foundation for making alterations that ensure a perfect fit and enhance the drape of your garments. Skills such as hand sewing, patchwork, and hemming will enable you to mend and revitalize your clothes with confidence.

About Kreisheia Pratap:

Kreisheia studied Fashion Design at Massey University. She has also taken part in watercolour painting classes at Inverlochy Art School. Her creative drive comes from sustainable/ethical practices and drapery. She is passionate about self-expression, being bold in style but not conforming to other’s expectations of us, as represented in her final year collection, ‘conform to non-conformity’.

Materials List:

  • Students should bring their clothing of choice and/or scrap, spare fabric they have at home to repurpose and refashion. They can also use fabric that has been donated to Karori Arts & Crafts Centre.
  •  sketchbook/visual diary

Note regarding payment: 
When you check out we offer two payment options - internet banking or credit card. Internet banking is preferred.  We pay fees for credit card payments.  
On completing your order you'll be given the bank account number.
