Silk Aquatint Printmaking - with Jude Gordon

$140.00 - $160.00
Tuesdays - 7 pm to 9 pm
10 March to 31 March
4-week class

Silk Aquatint is a modern printmaking technique that replicates the tonal quality of traditional aquatint used in intaglio printmaking. This innovative process creates tonal gradations, traditionally achieved with resin adhered to metal plates and then etched with acid; it can now be created by using silk plates and acrylic mediums.

In this course, learn to create a silk plate and develop prints. While this unique technique requires practice and dedication, you will receive expert guidance every step of the way.

Silk aquatint stands out as a versatile printmaking method, perfect for creating standalone prints, adding captivating backgrounds to paintings, or integrating with other printmaking techniques.
