Printing and mono printing on fabric and/or paper with Clare Smith - Saturday 23 July 10 - 4pm

    70.00 - 90.00
    One day workshop

Paint and monoprint on fabric and/or paper using water based inks and resists (similar to batik).

This technique class will also cover printing with found objects such as fruit and leaves as well as making print-blocks from carved erasers and lino blocks.

Clare Smith is a textile artist living in Wellington, New Zealand. In 2000 she completed an Advanced Diploma in Visual Arts and in 2012 went on to do a Graduate Diploma in Applied Art. Her initial undergraduate degree was a Bachelor of Science majoring in Zoology and after my degree I completed a Teaching Diploma. I now mostly teach adults and specialise in surface design (textile dyeing and printing), machine quilting and quilt design classes.
