Create your own Christmas or greeting card! Learn how to create a simple one-colour linocut print for individual greeting cards.
Julie will show you how to transfer your design ideas to linoleum (simple shapes are easiest like silhouettes of trees, flowers, animals, or random patterns), and will walk you through the process of carving the linoleum block and printing your finished card design.
Please bring any design ideas you have or reference images for inspiration. If you already have linocut tools, please bring them too.
This course is for beginners or those with some printmaking experience who wish to explore further techniques. This course is perfect for those wanting an introduction to linocut and how to create a repeatable design.

A range of patterns, marks, and textures can be created quite easily, yet the results are very individual and exciting. |
