Screenprinting is a versatile printmaking technique where ink is pushed through a mesh screen onto a surface (like fabric or paper) to create striking, bold images. In this course, learn to create an image on paper. Explore the use of drawing fluid and screen filler to create a stencil on the screen. Print your image from the prepared screen onto paper using printing inks. Experiment with adding a second colour to your print. Learn how the ins and outs of signing, titling, and safely storing an edition of your prints in a folder.
About Geetika Chatterjee:

Geetika holds an MVA (Master of Visual Arts)- Printmaking, a Postgraduate diploma in Film & Video Communication, and a BFA in Painting. Her teaching experience includes 2 years as an Associate Professor at a Fine Art & Design College in India, as well as a visiting faculty member of the National Institute of Design in India.
Geetika's artistic achievements include:
- Northern Region, India, Camlin Art Contest winner;
- Recipient of various Art Residencies in India;
- Exhibited artwork in various Art galleries in India and Korea;
- Group exhibition with Ngate Poneke Art group at Pipetea Marai, 2025.
- Films shown in various film festivals, including the Mumbai International Film Festival, the Scotland Documentary Film Festival, the Mountain Film Festival, Nepal, etc.
- Received the National Junior Art fellowship from the Government of India in 2014.

$55 Materials fee included in the cost of the class covers all other materials including inks, screen filler, drawing fluid, screen cleaner, and paper
