$205.00 - $245.00
1 pm to 4 pm
5-Week Class
Discover the fundamental skills of botanical drawing and painting in this practical, beginner-friendly course. Work from live plant specimens to build core techniques in graphite shading and layered watercolour washes. Learn to observe with precision and translate what you see onto the page with accuracy and confidence.
Guided by an experienced tutor, develop the fundamentals of colour mixing, depth and texture that form the foundation of botanical art. For those wishing to study plants, learn to combine scientific accuracy with artistic sensitivity.
Suitable for developing artists aged 16 and up, whether you're completely new to botanical illustration or looking to refresh existing skills.
This is the first in a four-term series — Term 4 lays the groundwork in drawing and painting fundamentals, with the course deepening in 2027 to explore plant anatomy, botanical detail, and composition, culminating in a final painted work.
