Topics Covered:
- Doodling patterns: A series of abstract drawing ideas to introduce drawing from imagination
- Turning blobs into characters: Starting from some shapes, we’ll build characters
- Recipes: I’ll provide a recipe for birds, then we’ll deconstruct this and learn to create our own recipe for making characters
- Keep on drawing: A technique for filling a sketchbook page and generating ideas.
- Iterative drawing: Starting from a photograph, we’ll learn how to distort or stylise an image little by little
- Funny people: People are “hard” to draw. Let go of the fear and draw them funny instead.
- Turning real life objects into imaginary things: Starting from things we’ve found, we will create weird and wonderful
- Combinations: How to use randomness to help you come up with more ideas.
- Reassembling old drawings: Looking at the drawings we have done so far, learn techniques for turning these pieces into a new drawing or composition
Materials
- A4 Visual diary
- something dark that makes lines (like a fine liner pen, coloured pencil etc.)
- something lighter that makes shapes (marker, watercolours etc.)
- Pencil
- Eraser
Note regarding payment:
