Join Jonathan Else for a low-pressure virtual “art tour”. Be introduced to the works of New Zealand’s finest modern, contemporary artists. Learn the background to their creativity. It will also encourage you to make your own aesthetic judgements about works you like. Learn about New Zealand art within the context of International Modern Art developments, and appreciate the unique trends that make the art of Aotearoa special and wonderful.
As your guide: teacher and artist Jonathan Else will give you time to discuss your own response to the art works shown digitally and learn progressively throughout the series. he ahs run similar lectures and classes for Whitcliffe Art School as well as overseas.
Winter Workshops - Textile and Art
Learn to Quilt - Step 1 with Fyvie Murray Saturday 3rd July from 9.30am to 12.30pm, Wet Room
$45 Karori Arts and Crafts (KAC) members or Wellington Quilters Guild members and $90 non-members.
A classic way to learn a range of skills in patchwork and quilting is to make a sampler quilt. “You buildskills while you build quilt blocks.” This course is designed to help develop those skills over a series 3 hour lessons. This session is the equivalent of week one of the series held on the 3rd Sunday each month alongside the Casual Stitchers. You will have a number of blocks that can be put together to make a quilt. Alternatively blocks can be made into cushion covers, or a quilted bag if you prefer a smaller project. bring your own materials.
Unleash your Inner Abstract with Rachel Helson Sunday 18th from 10am to 4pm
A fun one day workshop in which you can complete six small abstract works using the techniques she applies to make her unique artworks. This is based on a couple of sessions from Rachel's popular term time class. They can be turned into fabulous cards to give away, or frame them and keep them for yourself. Some experience painting with acrylics would be helpful but a willingness to learn and enthusiasm will also go a long way. . $95 KAC members or $145 non-members. You can join KAC for $55 and this membership lasts until 31 December 2021. Most materials supplied.

Purchases and Enrolments
All purchases and enrolments on our website www.kacc.org.nz are subject to confirmation from Karori Arts and Crafts. You will receive an email confirming completion of your order or purchase. Once this confirmation is received any cancelations and refunds will be as specified by our Refund policy below.
All prices on our website are in New Zealand dollars and include GST if applicable.
No classes or workshops are held on public holidays.
Payments can be made by deposit into our bank account specified in our email to the address provided by you when ordering. Payments are required within 48 hours. Any payments not received within this time may result in your order being cancelled.
Creditcard payments may also be made through a secure payment process on our website.
When payment has been received we will send you an email confirming your purchase.
A full refund or credit of classes and workshop fees paid will be offered if KACC cancels any workshop or class prior to the start date. You will be notified of any such refunds at least 48 hours prior to the start date.
If a participant has to cancel due to an emergency you can apply to us for a refund or credit. This needs to be received within 7 days of scheduled start date. These are considered on an individual basis.
