Learning to Draw- with Shar Young
$140.00 - $165.00
30 October to 4 December
6 week class
This class welcomes everyone from beginners to those wishing to refine their current skills.
Improve our visual skills by analyzing shape, form, proportion, and shadow. Learn to loosen up, play with mark-making, line quality, and texture, and examine form and perspective. Look at objects like you have never seen them before. Experiment with contour drawing, negative space drawing, and expressive drawing.
About the Tutor:
With many years as a graphic designer in the newspaper and advertising industry, Sharyn Young has come to know drawing as a form of thinking. It is a form of viewing the world recreationally, therapeutically and commercially. Anyone can learn to draw and everyone has a need to express themselves. Drawing can be a conduit for self expression, learning, and building confidence.
Shar has over 15 years experience teaching adults of all skill levels visual arts.
