Do you want more creativity in your life but are too scared to enrol in a 'proper' art course because you're worried your lack of artistic ability will embarrass you? Then this 'taster' 5 week course is for you! Lauren, from artBRAIN, is here to walk you through step by step lessons on how to improve your technical art skills and unleash your own creativity. She couldn't care less how 'rubbish' you are at art because art can totally be taught in her opinion!
Sometimes the hardest thing about being artistic is knowing what to do....Lauren has this covered with all lesson plans designed to give you guidance whilst also giving you the confidence to incorporate your own ideas. Meaning that everyone walks away with their own unique artwork!
The focus of this course is to have fun and get better art skills. You will create art that you look at and think 'I can't believe I did that!". We won't be sending you home with large canvases of artwork that you would never dream of hanging... think more along the lines of painted cards, small drawings that could be framed and put on a shelf or given as a gift. Gifting rubbish art to friends and family, just to see the look of horror or amusement on their faces, will always be encouraged in this course!
Skills we will tackle in this class: Basic Drawing Skills, Basic Painting Skills, Basic 2D Art Skills, Creative Brainstorming and more stuff! A lot of materials will be provided but attendees are welcome to bring along some of their own gear should they want to.
We'll have plenty of materials on site for you use but if you have your own materials you're welcome to bring them along.
Membership special for the remaining two months of the year: $25.00. Contact the centre if you want to join up.
Note regarding payment:
When you check out we offer two options for payment - internet banking or credit card. Our preference is internet banking as:
- We get the money the next day rather than 10 days later
- We don't pay credit card fees of approximately 2%
- It's much quicker for the Centre Manager to administrate
On completing your order you'll be given the bank account number.
