We utilise the Karori Community Bus for once a month field trips to different sites around Wellington. You can enjoy drawing, painting or photography with fellow KACC artists. There is a $5 suggested koha for the use of the bus. Sign up in the office 1 week before the trip.

We are a group of all skill levels, keen on exploring bookmaking. We work on our own projects and are willing to help each other and beginner bookmakers.

Calligraphy Group
Alternate Mondays

You don't have to be an expert to join this group. Ranging from beginners to experienced calligraphers, we get together to practice, share skills and information about new materials, and inspire each other with personal projects. While we can be quiet, we're really chatty and laughter makes the ink flow better!

Papaer Craft Group
2nd Tuesday of the Month1 to 3 pm
All types of Paper crafting are welcome- explore different techniques and tools, and look at different types of card-making, scrapbooking, preparing backgrounds, and cardboard construction. Bring your own Materials, or materials provided for a $5 Materials Fee.

Printmaking Group
Fridays1:30 to 4 pm
Explore your preferred printmaking methods and learn from others. Our two presses provide an opportunity to try out monoprints, dry point etching, and relief prints like linocut or collagraphs.

Portrait Club Wellington
Mondays 7:30 to 9:30 pm
We welcome everyone, from beginners to professional artists, to paint a (clothed) portrait model. The Portrait Club Wellington has a range of interesting portrait models, of different ages, gender and ethnicity. This group of artists is a very social group and the sessions are very relaxed.

We are a casual group of painters, working mostly in watercolour, but not exclusively. We work on our own projects, informally offering each other helpful advice and opinions. We have afternoon tea, chat, and share information.

Annual Membership Fees 2025
$15.00 - $165.00
Subscriptions are paid annually at the start of the calendar year. Members can attend as many untutored groups as they like throughout the year and receive a discounted rate for tutored classes and workshops.
If you would like to attend Karori Arts and Crafts untutored interest groups, without becoming a Member, you are welcome to use the $15 visitor day fee option on the day of your visit.
