Shirley Marshall shared her extensive collection of Kiwiana with us inlcuding the amazing brass fireplace guard above left. There was also a lot of fun trying out a pull-along kiwi bird and buzzy-bees as well. Some beautiful paua and silver jewellery adn gorgeous woods also featured. A couple of people showed off their Sovereign brand wooden rulers with different types of NZ native woods features. Kay brought along a Swandri seen above and Adrian wore his. As the first larger group gathering this was a wonderful event. Thanks to all those who participated and Shirley for doing such effective research, we learned a great deal. The Antique Appreciation group meet on the first Friday every month and new members are very welcome.
